Bjorn Fratangelo Wins Junior French Open
Junior Program, Our Team, Tecnifibre USA NewsBjorn Fratangelo (T-Fight 325 VO2 Max & Black Code Strings) continued his dominance of the 2011 ITF Junior circuit by winning the Junior French Open, a Grade A event. Fratangelo entered the tournament as an unseeded player in a 64 player draw. Fratangelo has not lost before the Quarterfinals of any Junior tournament since the 2010 season. Bjorn moved up to # 2 in the world with the victory, despite splitting his schedule between ITF Junior events and professional tournaments.

Bjorn started his tournament by defeating Maxim Dubarenco in three sets and 6th seeded Filip Peliwo 6-2, 6-3. He then got passed Joris De Loore 7-6, 7-6 and cruised through 4th seeded Oliver Golding 6-1, 6-1 to move into the semifinals. Bjorn then battled through a tough 3 set match with unseeded Tristan Lamisine and defeated 14th seeded Dominic Thiem 3-6, 6-3, 8-6. Fratangelo tacked on two doubles victories with Alex Halebian, before they lost in the quarterfinals.
Shane Vinsant (T-Fight 325 VO2 Max & Black Code String) and Mitchell Krueger also continued their dominance at the Junior French Open. Shane and Mitchell (T-Fight 325 VO2 Max & Black Code String) entered the tournament having won 14 of 15 matches, with two titles and a final appearance. They fought through 2 tough three-setters and a 7-5 6-2 battle to move into the semifinals. They cruised into the finals with a 6-2, 6-2 win and eventually lost to Artunedo Martinavarr and Carballes Baena 7-5, 3-6, 10-8. Shane and Mitchell also each added a first round win in singles, and moved up to 23 and 27 in the world, respectively.
